Next year isn’t promised to Bucs, either

Thursday, 6 a.m.

The team has its quarterback. The victories have tripled. The system is in place.

From here, what can go wrong?

Around Tampa Bay, you've heard it a thousand times. Next year. Next year will be better. Next year, James Winston will have a year under his belt, and Dirk Koetter will be comfortable, and Mike Evans will hold onto the ball. Next year, the pass defense cannot help but be better.

Next year, the playoffs are within reach.

Or are they?

Yes! They are what they are and all us fans are hopeful too! If we could win just one more game than this year we are on the right track. Right? Avoid the blow outs and keep the scores tight. That pointed ball could bounce our way for a change. Doesn’t that sound hopeful?

More hopeful than I am.
