Morning skate: Ben Bishop

in general

He ended last season as a damaged player. He entered this one as a doubted one.

So far, however, goaltender Ben Bishop has been lights out for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Remember when everyone was wondering whether Bishop could return to the form that made him such a standout last season? Well, the worries are over. So far this year, Bishop has a 15-3-2 record for the Lightning, and the team seems to breathe differently when he is in the net.

As for Bishop, he never seemed to doubt.

The rest of us did that for him.

In other news, the Lightning sent forward Vladislav Namestnikov to Syracuse. For now.
