The way it may go as the Rays look for a new home.

February 21, 2016: On the day pitchers and catchers report, owner Stu Sternberg is asked one question about the AL East, two questions about Kevin Kevin Cash and 317 about who shows up for the new Rays' stadium. Sternberg says such a decision is months away, although he adds: “We hope fans will follow this team forever, whether it's in East Tampa, West Tampa or North Tampa. Not that we have any preconceived notions.”

February 26, 2016. On the day of the first full workout, Sternberg says he did not mean to leave out South Tampa.

April 3, 2016. The Rays' home opener doesn't stop the discussion. Tampa mayor Bob Buckhorn says he thinks Tampa is the best site for the Rays and that his office would officially offer $1.37 toward the construction of a new stadium. He pledges a telethon to raise more money.
