He could tell you about the pain, of course.

He could tell you that there is a small knife inside of his right shoulder, and that there are times it feels as if his profession is twisting it around.  He could tell you that the shoulder  lacks its usual strength, that it throws him out of balance.

But you don't want to hear it, do you? Not really. You just want Gerald McCoy to grimace and to get back to work.

That's what it's about, really. No one wants to hear how rough the seas are. We just want to see the boat come to port. No one wants to hear about labor pains. We just want to see the baby.

And, with or without painkillers, we know know this. The Bucs' defense is better
