Does the Heisman still live in the state of Florida?

Wednesday 6 a.m.

Once, this was his state.

Once, we were his people.

He liked it here. He knew the faces, and they knew his. He was a friendly enough guy, a little overrated perhaps, but this was where he had his morning coffee. This was where he bought his groceries.

His name is Heisman, and he used to live around here.

I don’t follow voted awards much, but you’re right, the Heisman tends to go to the perceived best player out of a group of players that are usually on the best teams – so Heisman tracking should follow pretty closely national team success, and the state teams haven’t been there much lately. Don’t see anything much on the horizon, either…
