Does Manning need this more than Newton?

Think of it as tomorrow vs. today.

Cam Newton, the next big thing, vs. Peyton Manning of the last big things. This is a guy who is about to own the National Football League against a guy who — in the regular season, at least — has had his name on the lease for a while.

Newton wants to take over Super Bowl 50.

Manning? Isn't he about to turn 50?

At 26, Newton has already established himself as a winner. He won the national championship, he won the Heisman. Now he has won the NFC title.

Manning? Winning is the last thing you want to bring up with his legacy. Records? Sure. Comebacks? Yep. Commercials. You bet.

I have always liked Peyton! I think he is one of the smartest guys in the game. I will be following his post football career for sure. I hope he stays in the business as an analyst. I think he would be great. But…. it looks like he is prone to choke on the big games. He beat the Pats by 2 points that should have been in overtime! I think this is Cam Newton’s year.
