Stamkos battles Eller for the puck/ANDREW J. KRAMER

Saturday, 11:23 p.m.

There is a crack in the ice.

The air is getting thinner.

The net is getting smaller.

And just like that, we have a series.

The Montreal Canadiens took a 2-1 victory Saturday night to remain alive in its best-of-seven series in the NHL Playoffs, and as quick as a puck going into the net, this feels as if its wide open once more. Only moments ago, it seems, the Lightning had a 3-0 lead, and it was the Montreal players who were muttering to themselves.
