Thursday, 6 a.m.

He just got here. The price tag is not off of him yet. His helmet probably has that new lid smell to it.

Still, it is not too early to ask the question: Can Jameis Winston be the guy to save Lovie Smith's job?

They are trending in opposite directions. Winston is looking more and more like a rising star in the NFL, while Smith is looking like the Bucs' latest disappointment. Right now, their futures do not seem as if they are intertwined. Smith may end up being Winston's first coach. Nothing more.
