They were not Bulls. Not yet.

They were calves trying to stand on wobbly knees. They were dogies, and the world seemed to big for them. They were too young to win, and asking it of them was too harsh. They were fledglings, more at home with Saturday morning cartoons that Saturday afternoon football.

They were South Florida, and they were not old enough to complete.

It was unfair to ask it of them, really. These baby Bulls would lose, and you would shake your head, and you would wonder just how bad the athletes of the program had become. And you wonder if the program would ever matter again.

And all of the sudden, look who looks all grown up.

Agreed, but I think Temple will pose the toughest challenge for the Bulls, and they’ll play Cincy close. Temple is ranked #21 in country, although that could quickly change after they play Notre Dame this weekend. Mack will have a very difficult time running on Temple. I definitely like what I am seeing out of USF, I just wish Flowers had a stronger arm. Hoping Willie Taggart can build a winner here.
