First, you cheer.

Finally, the Bucs have a chance at a real quarterback. Finally, they have an arm. Finally, they have a leader. Finally, they have someone with a knack for turning a close loss into a close win. Finally, you have someone who will look good in the pocket

Only later, you worry.

I still have the pass Josh McCowan tried to throw in game one last year stuck in my memory bank….JW brings hope causing my child like imagination to go wild…Can’t wait for game one with JW…I need to erase those McCowan images once and for all.
GO BUC’S

This is easy for me Gary. Being a Buc fanatic and long time season ticket holder I WANT Jameis to be the QB I think he can be. I WANT Lovie and Licht to be absolutely right with their choice.
Therefore, until something goes very wrong, I’m believing in this pick and have hope and excitement going into next season.
THAT feels good and I LIKE that kind of party!

I am not worried! Winston is the right choice for Tampa. We have a true quarterback for this team. He is positive, confident and talented and he will take the Bucs to the championship level again!

Nice job of illustrating the uneasiness associated with this pick. Winston’s Instagram of himself eating crab legs while donning a Buc’s jersey and hat is the first glimpse into the character with which Lovie and Licht will have to contend

Licht doth protest too much, methinks

I’ll give a “wait and see” and hope Winston becomes mature and takes his first professional job seriously. I also hope the Bucs get some good support around him because no player can do it by himself.

I trust the Bucs have a plan forward with JW, including personal and professional development, and I trust people like Derrick Brooks and Gerald McCoy can have a major positive impact on JW. I also believe JW will face personal and professional challenges in the next few years, and we will learn then what we have as a quarterback and as a person. And we will be delighted and in love, or disappointed and hateful. Until then, I intend to give him all my support and hope for “the best of all possible worlds.”
