It was beginning to look as if it were personal, as if Ben Bishop has somehow offended the locker room and the players refused to score for him.

It was beginning to look as if every other goaltender in the league had better support, better luck, better karma.

It was beginning to look like there was a dark cloud hovering above his goaltender's mask.

Ben Bishop was on one of the darndest streaks of his career, and he had nothing to show for it. In five games, he had allowed only eight goals. And he had lost five times. No matter how marvelous
