Jerry Angelo is a former personnel director for the Bucs and former general manager of the Bears. Each week, Angelo answers your questions regarding the NFL. Send your questions to GarySheltonsports@gmail.com with "ask the expert'' in the subject line. The most interesting question will be selected.

You’ve read the list of candidates. If you were the general manager of the Bucs, who would you hire as head coach?

Scott Myers

Hiring a head coach is no easy task. It’s not only him; the staff that he hires is equally important. Eighty percent of the time when a head coach is terminated, it’s because of his inability to hire quality coordinators, particularly opposite his expertise. That is a fact.

So it’s to hard to say who the best hire will be without the knowledge of who his coordinators are going to be. The guy they presently have on their staff, Dirk Koetter, may make the most sense given his relationship with their hope-to-be franchise
