Jerry Angelo is a former personnel director for the Bucs and former general manager of the Bears. Each week, Angelo answers your questions regarding the NFL. Send your questions to GarySheltonsports@gmail.com with "ask the expert'' in the subject line. The most interesting question will be selected.

If you were Ron Rivera, how much would you worry about going undefeated compared to getting rest for your players and entering the post-season on a roll?

If I were him I would just keep on keeping on. Don’t get spooked now!

Injuries are part of the game and so is momentum. Sometimes, a team can get so paranoid about keeping players healthy that they lose the karma they’ve created in doing so. Back when the Dolphins went undefeated, the roster size of each team was 40 players, so they really had no choice but to play their starters. It worked for them and it can work for the Panthers. My advice again: go for it!
