Ask Gary: Would Bucs be better with Mariota?

Do you think if the Bucs chose Marcus Mariota as their new quarterback, their record would be any better? It seems his superior agility would fit in better with the Bucs unimpressive offensive line.

It might be all the way up to 2-2. Mariota would have beaten Tennessee, and he might have won against New Orleans as well. But Mariota hasn't beaten anyone but the Bucs, so let's don't act like he's the finished deal yet, either.

Here's my question: What does it matter? All of us knew that neither the Bucs nor the Titans was going to the playoffs this season. It's all about the future, and the final verdict has yet to be decided. Now, I would certainly agree that Mariota has been the better of the two so far. But neither guy is going to make these teams a contender, are they?

Coming out of college, I thought Winston threw a better fastball. I still do. But
