There is proof that Pete Rose bet on MLB games in 1987 when he was a manager and in 1986 when he was a player.  When do you think Pete Rose started betting on MLB - his rookie year of 1963, earlier than that, or later than that? And now that we know that Rose bet as a player, would you still vote for him if he ever gets on the Hall of Fame ballot?

No, I probably wouldn't. It's impossible to tell when a player begins to bet, but it's safe to assume it wasn't on his way out the door. Remember how permissive this country was in the 60s. Remember how much money Rose at his disposal in the 70s. Its a bad
