Avid tennis fan here. Looking forward to seeing whether Serena can win the calendar grand slam this weekend at the US Open. Have you interviewed Serena? What's your impression of her?

Ouch. Friday must have been tough for you, since Serena lost in one of the biggest upsets in the history of tennis. It's a shame. I always pull for an event, a Grand Slam or a perfect game.

Yes, I've interviewed Serena in several Wimbledons. I would describe her as ... regal. It was obvious the media wasn't the group she was the most comfortable with. A lot of great athletes have an everyman appeal, and right or wrong, they give off the impression they'd be fun to have a beer with. With Serena, you always feel like she was the celebrity in the room. And why shouldn't she be? There are always critics in the crowd, those who don't think she has played enough, or think she's too

Thanks for your comments on the Williams family. I thought we might see some history this weekend. But Italy is happy as they’ll get a champion today. If you really want to see some uninhibited joy, watch Vinci’s post match interview and media session. I wish both Vinci and Pennetta could go home with the US Open trophy.
