McCown was never the answer of the Bucs/Jeffreyl S. King.

If you ask an armadillo to win the Kentucky Derby, is it the armadillo's fault that he does not?

If you try to win the Daytona 500 with a tricycle, is it the trike's fault that you fail.

If you try to win the Miss America pageant and you're a guy named Bubba, could you really expect the roses?

Of course not. And that is why it is hard to jeer Josh McCown too hard as he walks out the door. He just wasn't

Had McCown had a legitimate offensive coordinator who could take advantage of what defenses were showing, or an offensive liine capable of competently blocking, McCown very well could have won a couple of more games this past season. I’m surprised they released him – I thought they’d need someone to mentor the rookie QB. Guess that’ll be left in the hands of Mike Glennon now.
