A vote for Freddie to reach the Hall the clean way

in general, Tampa Bay Rays

Sometimes, you go with your gut.

Sometimes, that's all you have.

Take the case of the baseball Hall of Fame. From the moment I put ink to paper, I believed, accurately, that Fred McGriff would not get enough votes. But on ballot, McGriff is a Hall of Fame. It isn't just that I covered Fred, although that doesn't hurt. Daily, I saw what sort of professional that McGriff was. Daily, I saw him attack a fastball as if it had been mean to his child.

Yes, McGriff belongs.

So says my ballot.
