The Tampa Bay Rays involved themselves a little too deeply in the discussion over whether the Yankees will pay Alex Rodriguez his bonus for passing Willie Mays on the home run list Friday night. In the series opener, A-Rod hit two home runs to lift New York to a 5-4 victory over the Rays, who had back-to-back home runs from Allan Dykstra and Logan Forsythe. A-Rod's homers were measured at 471 feet and 400 feet.  It was his first multi-homer game in almost three years. Rodriguez also hit the winning RBI single to lift New York.
